Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

MBSR is a programme developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre in the 1970s to alleviate a wide range of health problems. It has changed the lives of millions of people.
The 4 key elements of an MBSR course:
Body: Your body plays a significant role in your emotions. During the course, we will discuss the physiology of stress and self-regulation. You will learn to improve your default response to stress.
Mind: We know that happiness (and unhappiness) begins in the mind. You will learn to recognise your thoughts without taking them automatically personally.
Compassionate self-care: You may not be able to change what you’re going through, but you can change how you’re going through it. To access this psychological state of compassionate self-care requires some guidance that this course will offer.

Communication: Learn to create a non-judgemental environment and listen. To a certain degree, we all let sometimes our personal opinions cloud our judgement. However, if we want to drive fruitful and clear conversations we need to practice non-judgment and show understanding.

Duration : 8 x 2.5 hour workshops + 1 retreat day

I will provide all written learning materials you need to study this course at home and in preparation for our weekly sessions. The course fee also includes trainer support for 3 months.
